Ibiza fr wingmirrors

Evening,


I have a 2007 reg ibiza fr with electric/heated wingmirrors however some little sod kicked one of them off on Friday night. I have managed to find a 2005 FR at a motor salvage yard but I need to know if the 2005 reg FR has the same electric connections as the 2007 reg. Can anyone help as if it does thn i'll save myself a few pennies ?

I would imagine so. Cant see them changing connections.

Im not 100% sure though. You would need to check with the guys at the salvage yard or wait on someone else backing me up. Dont want you buying it on me thinking so.

Have you taken your wing mirror apart to look and see where its connected and have you done the same to the other car? This would give you a clue.

Don't know if it helps much, but my 2004 FR has heated mirrors, although I don't think they're standard - could just be the production run lottery - so I'd imagine the 2005 should do. If tou look inside the door at the mirror controls, there should be a little heater symbol when the dial is in the "neutral" or "middle" position.

Early ibiza sport 130 tdi`s had them too, mines a 53 plate.
On the later models like your 07 they only came heated with the convenience pack and were not heated as standard. Not sure on others...........
Poor show by seat really, they do swap and change specs and its poor when they delete things that come in handy at this time of the year

as mentioned above. members have found that the pre-facelift FR's came with heated mirrors and this was lost when the facelift's came out...as i experienced

but we did get other novelties to cheer us up

Its a bummer. My 96 boggy Polo SE had heated mirrors and my 1981 Porsche 924 turbo had them and how i miss them on my 2008 FR. The saleman said they were standard equip on the test drive. Mind you love the poke oh and 50 mpg if i am a saint.....
