Hi Everyone.

It's been a while since i came on here i have been very busy building a property portfolio in this wonderful housing market.

I was driving about earlier and came off a round about and floored it which then lead to a loud hissing noise which was my turbo hose splitting which has happened before in the past. Normally i loose pretty much all power and it just chugs along. But today the car cut out so i pulled over tried to start the car with no joy. The engine is turning over but it just doesn't start up. I called up Jabba who said it's likely to be something fuel related. When i turn the key the car primes up i can hear the squirt of diesel. It just doesn't seem to want to start. Any idea's? i have checked all the usual things you do when your car doesnt start oil, battery ect. As everything shuts at 1 on a sat will have to wait untill monday to get it to either jabba or seat.

Thanks,

Mike

Worth checking that the anti shudder valve isn't shut and not letting any air in. Just whip off the clip onto the EGR assembly and its right there. Clearly it'll be shut unless the cars started, but if you get somebody to hold it open (the actuator on the rear) then try and start and see what happens.
Could be a split/fallen off hose which normally opens this.

Thanks for the reply, i have the allard egr replacement pipe so that should all be ok. The AA came out this morning and couldn't get it started so it's on its way to jabba now which is prob a good thing as it needs a service and new break pads whilst its there i might get water injection to clean up the black smoke at the back.
