Hi everyone!

Last week i bought a brand new FR tdi and i´m happy with my new machine...
When it hit the 1000 kms i gave it the 1st push in 6th gear (free way) and the rpm stopped at 4000,doing a speed of 210km/h...is this normal?
Everybody says it hits (easilly) the 230km/h!
Is it because the engine is new?
could they decrease the power to do the 1st kilometers?
It happened to you also?

If you find some mistakes....i´m portuguese!!

If the engine is new, it will still be quite tight and will need a while longer to fully loosen up.
Also on an unchipped car, the power tails off after 4000rpm, so maybe thats the limit of what the car can do.
Ive had mine mapped, green filter, pd160 intake and cut the flaps off the airbox, and it seems to be able to go above and beyond 4000 rpm with ease

what is the pd160 intake?
Is it the black box that holds the filter in or the tube that goes to the box?

Grumpier than Fester
It's the tube that runs to the Airbox. It's somewhat larger in the PD160 than in the PD130. There is a photo comparison on here somewhere.

Don't expect that alone to make any difference. Though You might notice things being a little smoother.
