ibiza FR petrol - only 14 psi of boost

Hi,

I have an ibiza FR 1.8 T from 2005 with an oettinger remap (195PS/295Nm). The only other mods are forge DV007 + green cotton pannel filter.

I recently installed a liquidIbiza gauge where I can get information on boost pressure, N75 position + much more.

When I drive with full throttle it shows 20 psi of boost for 1 sec and then drops down to 14 psi. If I switch over to N75 position it shows 95% opening. (the 20 psi could be misreading)

If the N75 valve is almost fully open I would expect app. 22 psi of boost and not only 14 :( - what is wrong? Is it due to turbo wear after 108.000 km?

It would really be nice with som good advice - the car feels a lot slower than shortly after the remap (where I did not have the liquid gauge) and it would be nice to get it fixed...

Thanks!

ok - but doesn't the fully opened N75 valve indicate that the ecu "asks" the turbo to produce as much boost as possible? How can a better remap result in more boost pressure then? I thought 22-24 psi was possible with the K03s.. I am confused.

22-24psi is possible, thats what I boost to.

Its all down to the map and how much boost it requests.

The N75 valve actualy opens and closes lots of times a second to controlle the boost.
