Ibiza FR lowered with H&R springs

Lowered my ibiza FR petrol with H&R type 29333-2 springs. Should lower 35 mm but the result is much different front and rear.
It now stands 25 - 30 mm higher at the rear and I think it looks crap!

Has anyone had this problem and should I go for Eibachs instead to get the same hight front and rear?

At last......

Another modified 5 door mk4 Ibiza!!!

Nice choice of wheels aswell,

To get the same height, front and back, your gonna need height adjustable coilovers, so you can lower the back more than the front,

Mines lowered around 50mm at back and 35mm at front on FK silverline coilovers

Site updated :)

YellowFR -> Do you mean the rear didn't drop but the front did ? Seems a bit odd...as the rear is higher to begin with

Sounds like incorrect springs for your car. I use to have Fabia 1.9 TDI springs fitted to my vRS. Had the same problem. Front low and the arse stuck up in the air. Its because the front springs rates are not suited to the increase in weight at the front of the car.

Now fitted 1.9 TDI vRS sorings which are designed for 960kg front axle weights instead of the 900kg for the normal 1.9 TDI.

Mmm
When springs or shocker are fitted it can take a while for them to settle.
How long have they been fitted?

Damn it looks nice with the same hight front and back! I have also been thinking of going for height adjustable coilovers but unfortunately I went for the cheap solution...

Yours seems a bit higher in the front and a lot lower in the back, indicating to me that mine is lowered more than 35 mm in the front... maybe 50 mm.

How is the ride with FK silverline coilovers?

The springs has been on for approx. 5000 km so they should be settled, and they are suited for front axle load up to 950 kg...

Thanks for the answers!

The ride is just as comfortable as the standard setup, it handles like it on rails, no body roll or nothing, I can't go lower at the front due to my sump being 3" off the floor and the sh***y roads around here,

Im not 100% sure its 35 at the front, it could be more,

Mine has done the same, slammed at the front and slightly dipped at the back. Thats on Koni springs.

Mine has only been on for about 150miles though, I thought about riding around with a few bags of cement in the boot to settle it forcefully :p

i finally got my coilovers in i had it lowered perfect the first time . think the ramp might have stopped it going lower:lol: . that when i looked below the bumper the sump was about 2 inches off the ground dame you seat  think i might get 18 s to bring it off the ground a bit

in the end i settled being able to insert my fingers
in my opinion you should buy coilovers for an ibiza its the only way you can get it to what you want :funk:

Sisson -> The poor sump clearance as standard was the reason I never lowered mine. If it spent it's life on the motorway I would have done, but living round here there are too many bits of stone / wood / dead animals in the road which could catch the undertray even at standard height.

There was a GB on Briskoda for an uprated sump guard.
Would this fet the 130PD Ibiza`s?
Maybe something to look in to.
