Ibiza Cupra tdi gearbox help!!!

Gearbox blew up last week in my 54 plate cupra tdi.


I ordered a second hand box from 247 spares but its come and its the wrong box.

The code off my box is OA8 301 103

OA8 i take it being the code. but i really cant find a gearbox replacement.

am i looking for the wrong codes or something im really stuck.

02m gearbox is what you need i believe there is a couple on ebay.
what were the symtoms on your gearbox leading upto the event of it meeting its death?

The new box ive got is an 02m and its different to my broken box. The gear selector is different!!
Im really confused now.

The gearbox was just load and sounde like a close cut racing box then it started gettin louder nd louder. Bearings had blown i think.

Anyway. I dnt think 02m is correct.

you can swap the gear selectors over i take it one has the ball type fitting and the other has like a small cylinder type fitting.

It doesnt look like it will swap. There is 2 grooves in the gear selectir cylinder that hold it in place. These positions are different on both types. If i take it to a gearbox specialist they might be able to swap it then
