Does it have the floppy wiper blades? They were standard after the facelift, so if it has them and you haven't put them on then it generally is a FL model.

7k to 7.5k. If they offer you any less walk away.

I drove the 1.6 hdi c4 at the motorshow, the one with the flappy egs box, was a good combo. THe brakes were massive too sensitive though. Salesman reckoned you could average 70mpg from it. I called bullshit on that.

5k trade against a c4.

like i said not 100% sure yet as i might take the seat and get its scratch sorted and then sell privately.

i am shocked though 5k for an 06 admittedly its done 74k but it has Full service history.

what did you honestly think of the C4 when you test drove it?

the thing is i do 4 miles each way to work and that cant be good for my cupra especially as on these short trips i get about 230 miles to a tank of optimax. not that there is anything wrong with the car its just never get warm enough on my short trip to get things running perfectly and never long enough trip to get 50mpg like i use to when i did 80 miles aday to and from work.

C4 is an 09 plate with 3k on the clock should be 13k but up for 10995. 2 years warrenty and less thirsty.

what do you think?

That citroen will depreciate like a stone, they all do. It was an ok car, but it rolled about a fair bit, and it lacked the quality of german or ford cars. Plus the badge is worth less than nothing. There screwing you on the trade, the book price is at least 7k. Seat with a german diesel engine being traded for a citroen, if you went for that deal they would be rubbing there hands when they sold your car for 9k.

Tbh mate if i were you, i would keep the cupra, get the scratch sorted, and buy a push bike.. 4 miles to work.. come on ;)

i know what your saying biking to work isnt an option.

i have had teh car 4 years i want a change and i want something with DSG or EGS.

i dont see me having any more options as i cant get a 1 or 2 year old golf for 11k

tax on a golf is 150 and the c4 is 35.

insurance on the cupra is 800 without mod declaired and the c4 400

opps didnt mean to post that with out the rest of it.

basically i want a nice everyday car thats cheap to run and insure and tax

i have worked out that the running costs for the year and the c4 is half the price of a cupras

Polo or Golf Bluemotion is speed and power isn't important but they don't have DSG.

I'd avoid french cars if you like £££ :)

just returned from my nice day trip out.

i havent done anything about the cars yet. i am pondering.

in all honesty the C4 is a very nice car. they have offered me 5k for my car.

the C4 is 09 plate with 3374 miles on the clock.

first impressions its a rather pretty car although it rides high lol the drive is nice and smooth and the brakes i didnt find to bad infact on parr with the Cupra 4 pots (over senstive like some one stated but im use to that)

it cruised happily at 80 mph and i put it to 90 mph and it wasnt screaming like i was expecting for a 1.6 HDI.

the EGS system is rather bizzare. in manuel mode its great nice sharp responses but in Auto mode its nothing like a DSG. its not as smooth almost have to drive it like a manuel and ease of the throttle a little when it does it change up after a few mins i had it sussed.

nice features on the car. auto lights, auto wipers and auto rear dimmer. mp3 sound system and i will haggle for the ipod connectivity if i go for it.

i really am not sure what to do book says 74 mpg for the egs and 48 city driving i know i wont get that but that got to be better than the 18 to 25 im getting from the cupra lol

i know the cars worth 13k and i can have it for 11k. i looking at some 06 plate egs (now out of warrenty) they are going for 8k to 9k. so it looks like it wont lose much more and as my mile are down from 20k per year to 6k per year it should never get above the average miles per year unlike the cupra that should be on 40k not 74k lol

time to decide me thinks. unless some one can point me in the direction of a leon FR with DSG TDI/ Golf TDI sport DSGm that is 1 or 2 years old for 11k ish lol
