Ibiza Cupra spark plugs ?

Hi i need some help on which spark plugs to use on my 2001 Ibiza Cupra .
My car has been having some running problems, well actually one of my spark plugs had shattered so it would hardly run at all !! So i was told to use standard SEAT spark plugs which i've been told should be platinum, but when i got my new set they are just copper 3 electrode plugs . The parts bloke showed me the screen anf it only shows these spark plugs .
So who is right ? And are these plugs suitable for a re-mapped Ibiza ?

As far as I was aware ALL 1.8t`s run with Platinum.
I would try Bosh ones.
DPP33 I think they are.

Denso Iridium IK22's work a treat for me..

I've got NGK Iridium IX in mine and it's been great. Not a single missfire and they're been in over 15k now.

NGK's were fine in mine... until I went for a bit more power.. spluttred and misfired then. IK22's and regapped all was well

i used the same ones that came out, bosch ones, 2 quid each form GSF

yep NGK's have been fine in mine but Bills got double my 180bhp and piddly 9psi lol

Bill, how did you gap the IK22's? I've just got a set and wanna slap them in at the weekend!

According to the denso installation guide the IK22's are not for the VAG 1.8T's , the SVK20R-Z8 are the correct ones.

Out of the box they arent recommended because the gap is slightly too large, gap them down and they're fine, can't fault mine.

yea they are.
sat in mine for quite some miles.
not a std engine now tho.

Why aren't people buying the recomended ones to start with, no mods needed just install! A bit of hassle that isn't required.

I'm going to order a set of the IK22's. I can get them for £39.96 inc VAT & postage is there anywhere that can better that?
