Hey really wanted to pick everyone's brains here as im not sure what to do regarding filters and a remap - I recently own a ibiza cupra TDI with PD160 engine. It's nippy but don't feel completely satisfied with speed it could be better. I want the advice from all the experienced knowledgable members and I have used the search feature but I want the most recent info! so here goes.

Standard at moment planning exhaust straight through to turbo, upgrade boost pipes, filter and remap. But...

1. What's the best way to go, smooth airbox and green panel filter, bmc cda carbon airbox, or open cone like a jetex?

2. Remap, phoned awesome and prosport (revo) which remap is better anyone with experience? Each company is saying that are better and produce more power, awesome is rolling road and it stays that way, revo is set map I think and can be switched between map and normal?

Your advice is very appreciated.

Standard airbox is fine - nothing to gain. Decent downpipe, decat and decent exhaust will help.

Where are you based? There are better maps out there for the PD TDIs and you really want something tailored to your car given it's age and likelyhood to be suffering from sticky/slow VNT.

Stock airbox is just fine. also not the restriction on that car. even with 2260vk you easily make 250hp with stock airbox and paper filter.

open cone just sucks hot air so thats a no go and other filter panel have nihil filter area compared to stock paper element.

For a good tune give BSR in London area a call. =)
