Ibiza Cupra Mk4 Front Bush Questions

Just had a service and need the front anti roll bar and drop links replacing due to knocking. I‘ve read on here about getting the front bushes replaced at the same time and upgraded to the Cupra version. Anyway I’ve got some questions about this

1. Does a 54 plate FR have voided bushes or solid Cupra ones ?
2. If it’s the voided bushes, it’s a good idea to upgrade ?
3. Is the part number for the front Cupra bushes 6LL 407183 ?
4. How many do I need ?
5. Is there anything else I would need to buy if I was only asking a garage to fit them ?
6. Rough idea of cost to buy the bushes from a dealer ?

Thanks for your help

1. Voided unless theyve already been changed

2. Yes, but I would probably wait until theyre buggered.

3. Dunno

4. Two

5. Possibly the front bushes from Powerflex.

6. £16ish a side, and £35 for the front 2 bushes. Labour costs will be high, around £90 from a garage to fit.

In respect to item "2" if you really are getting the ARB replaced - you must have been very unlucky to have bought a "54" car that still had the old style ARB fitted at the factory - then as I have said before, the crossmember will be getting dropped and so the four wheel re-alignment will need to be done to get the car running true after that. So, if you get just the ARB replaced it will cost about £250(ish) - if later you want/need to get solid Cupra bushes fitted inthe TCA, that job would probably cost £180(ish) - working on these cost levels if they are true or not, getting both jobs done at the same time would cost about £300(ish) as a lot of the labour and procedures are common - my labour costings might be well OTT though. IIRC, ARB + mounting bushes cost about £90>£100 these solid Cupra bushes cost about £16>£20 for a pair - so you can see the cost is mainly labour. Remember the plan is to change these bushes only once in your ownership of the car - by using the solid Cupra bushes this should be achievable - and to get better control or feel from the front end as a bonus. As for the bush p/n its probably right, let's say as long as you ask for a pair of Ibiza Cupra TCA rear bushes and you get handed two cyinders with an outer skin of aluminium and a sold rubber inner with a hexagonal hole - and the p/n starts with 6LL - then you should be alright.
