Before anyone flames me for not reading the forums or doing a search I HAVE (lol) Unfortunately there isnt a really clear answer.

Ive had a pipercross and it sucked oil from the engine into the air cone (dont ask me how)

Im looking to get a 57i or a bmc or green just wondering if anyone has the part numbers as many people use the polo 57i but when i went on the k&n site the pics for the polo showed the filter being for the 8v is this correct

hey man, i have the same car as you and the exact same problem with my pipercross x induction kit. first i changed the filter breather for a brand new one. however a few months later it was blocked again. so what i have done now is hooked the breather pipe to a rubber hose and threaded it to the bottom of the car. a mechanic told me normally the gases from the pipe goes back into the induction kit to be burnt off. however with the filter breather just bunged on like it tells you in the instruction, all the gas is going straight into the vents and into our lungs. so by running the hose to the bottom of the car and out, it stop any unwanted gases breathed in. i have done this for over a year now and there have been no problems. when i had the filter on, i found that when it was blocked, oil was coming out of the breather filter and i was losing loads of engine oil. thats how i found out cos i thought there were a leaked and luckily i found out soon or my engine would have gone. hope this helps
