Ibiza and Leon Cupras 'bouncing' when lots of throttle in first and second

Is there an easy way to fix this?

(apart from just being a little more gentle on the throttle!)

Only reason I ask is because both of my Seats are the only cars I have driven that do it, so I'm thinking there is a connection (Ibiza Cupra and Leon Cupra R)

Has to be relatively easy though...only just started getting into 'playing' with them!

Yeah, the Ibiza with TCS just kills the power when it happens, the Leon lets it happen a bit more.

Any suggestion greatly appreciated!

I dont think its a power cutting problem though, more that the power doesnt seem to be getting onto the road properly, and the wheels are kicking up from the extra....but that doesnt really make sense cos im sure the ibiza should be able to put 156 down on the road?

how are you driving it? you need to feed the power as traction allows. less is more.

dogbone mount helps with wheel hop as do good tyres... but unless you can delicatly feed in the power its hard for the tyres to hold on.

I like making the fronts struggle for grip build up the boost to about 3.5-4.5k hold it for a second then floor it makes for good fun when you get the little muppets in 1.2 trying to race you.

Is it happening when you lift off the throttle? We had a discussion recently about this and maybe being MAF related?

riko im pretty sure he means under hard acceleration mine does it its just the tyres bouncing for grip i think mine does it because of standard suspension not giving me the best roadholding more than anything tbh.

Thats exactly it, s1.. its not a problem, 'cos i'm fine feeding the power etc so it doesnt cause an issue, the only reason im asking is that a couple of guys at work 'reckon' (as people always do!) that there is some sort of problem causing it....I'm not convinced cos its both cars! :)

And the Leons running F1's, so I hope its not bad tyres!
