ibiza and golf mounts?

im having some solid engine mounts made up i just need to know if the mk3 ibiza and the golf mk3 and our mk2 ibizas have the same mounts?

and also i believe that the VR6 mk3 golf has a different mount, is it this one or the normal one that i need?

might seem like a silly question but its coz i know that the VR6 quickshift fits the ibiza so i thought this would too.

need to let him know asap before he goes GSF and buys an original mount.

i know the mk3 ibiza and the mk3/mk2 golfs are the same (rear and gear box anyway) not sure if they run the same front!

which mount are you after?

i have a brand new genuine mk3 ibiza cupra mount if you need it

i was thinking of a solid mount to stop the engine from moving too much, i think hes just gonna make the front mount, need to ask. would it make any difference if i just change the front mount to a solid and leave the other 2 standard as its still a road car? luton aint too far from from my uni mate i might take u up on that, which mount is it?

basically he has Golf 3 GTi mounts and hes in the process of doing the VR6 ones, which one fits my ibiza?

i am lol ...getting him to make solid metal ones mate. hes currently only selling mk2 and 'rado mounts ...until i bugged him to try to make one for me like 3 months ago lol.

Ibiza part numbers:

2.0 8v front: 1H0199609G
2.0 16v front: 1H0199609 J

2.0 8v/16v rear: 1H0199262B

2.0 8v/16v gearbox: 357199402B


Mk3 Golf Part Numbers:

2.0 8v front: 1H0199609G
2.0 16v front: 1H0199609 J

2.0 8v/16v rear: 1H0199262B

2.0 8v gearbox: 357199402B
2.0 16v gearbox: 3A0199402

So the Mk3 Golf and Mk2 Ibiza have the same mounts

Not sure on the VR6 Mk3 Golf though.... anyone know the engine code and I can check

from what I've read on CGti, you want a solid front mount to stop engine rock, and then 'uprated' rear and gearbox mounts from a Mk3 TDi

hmm tdi ones seem interesting do u mean normal OEM TDi ones? or performance TDi ones?

normal OEM ones, they're 'harder' apparently, due to the TDi lump being heavier than the 8v/16v lump

had my first 'longer' drive in the 8v today (so far it's just been to work & back)

But I had a hoot. except the constant exhaust vs body knocking.

came home, logged on & find the answer as a new thread

As I've got a spare set of mounts, I might see if I can 'fill' the rear mounts as an experiment. but I was looking at solid mounts from the US, luckily someone's copied the design already

errm because the mk2 golf n the mk3 golf ones dont fit each other? and the mk3 golf fit the mk2 ibiza so the mk2 golf wont fit the ibiza?
