So the first of a million small stupid things on my Ibiza 6J SportCoupe...
The previous owner likely wasn't clued up enough to notice the media / multimedia interface panel was literally flapping about on the lower tabs.
Perhaps a garage had done work on the aircon / heating panel above and had never re-fitted the factory screws in this area?
So this leaves me scratching my head to find replacements.
I've had a mess about with various bolts I have here. Given there are metal bolt points I reckon they are bolts and not self-tapping screws as I've seen on my older model dashboards.
Must be flanged button head given the wide recessed areas in the panel.
From experimentation they seem to be M5? But it would be great if someone could confirm this, and if anyone knows the right length to use?
This is the part I'm talking about (6j0035342e), and you can see the three mounting bolt holes at the top.
And these are the metal bolt points that I need to screw into:
