Ibiza 6j Headlight mod

Led DRL is very cool on new car but my Ibiza ST have only halogen drl , so I bought another headlights for this mod. My new headlights are very cool. Project is not finished yet but in very short time I will install it on the car. I will share my result and ideas when I finish it. So some first photos and follow it.

NICE! I modified my headlights on my Mondeo ST and they looked great. They were devil eye blackout headlights. Looked online and there is a set for the Ibiza at about £300! i made mine for £30 lol

For this mode is needed:

1. Carton box with hot air gun for disassembly & reassembly headlights
2. Light guide (acrylic rod)
3. Dual color Led strip with electronic
4. Oven for acrylic rod trimming
5. Butyl WindScreen Sealant for bonding top plexyglass

I am planning replace bulb taillights with LED version each but I need new BCM with LED support (bulb warning prevention) because my actual BCM dont have support for LED

Sophie, where did you get those rear lights from. How much were they. Are they complete units you bolted in? Do you get any error messages running LEDs?

I had them off a private seller, I'm not sure if there is some on eBay. I think they are about £200 new.
Yeah my warning light come on last night, I just need to get the fault erased

Taillights will be working fine but with bulbwarning on the dash.
It is needed BCM xxx 937 089 OR xxx 937 090 for led support.

thats a lot of messing about isnt it? Needing a new BCM for an LED bulb is madness! Can you install HID lights in the front headlights without the bulb warnign coming on?

I hope so, seems a really silly thing to have to do. Might give my SEAT dealer a shout and see what they say in the techie department.

Hi, It is possible to disable bulb check via vcds in BCM but instrument cluster (dash) still show bulb error.
In my cluster 6j0920802 isnt option for bulb check.

Easy solution is disable bulb check in BCM and remove led for bulb warning in dash

Hi, If it have another power consumation as original halogen bulb (I think 55W) so there be bulb error.

Do you have the light on all time? Don't think so... that error only appears if the error is happening now. That bulbs are not compatible with the bulb alert system probably.

It's is possible to disable that allert with vcds though, although it will stop alerting you even if a lamp is really gone.

No it doesn't come on all the time. The only time I've noticed it stays on is when my lights are switched on.

Yes, I think you will have to disable the alert system with vcds in order to remove the light.

So I have upgraded taillights on my ibiza ST 2011 (pre facelift) with led taillights from facelift 2013 version.
