Hi Everyone Can Anyone Help Me With A Problem On My Wifes New Seat Ibiza 1.2? Firstly How Do You Remove The Cover Off The Engine ,i Have Given It A Few Pulls But Am Frightened I Might Break Something.

There's two hoses you need to disconnect, both are on the right hand side as you look at it.

Hi,

The cover is just held on with pressure fittings on four studs (two at the front and two at the back) and as mentioned above there are two breather hoses.

It is a tight fit, but it simply pulls off with at bit of controlled force.

What I would like to know is what is the secret to getting to the plugs, getting the ignition block off seems akward - can any one enlighten me plz?:help:

Hi Mate

Just a quick reply to your problem with the plugs. I had to take mine to a garage in the end, i could move the stupid things but couldn't get them out.not looking forward to doing that again in a few weeks.
