I have been trying to purchase a central silencer for over two months for my 2.0 16v but cant seem to find anyone that stock the correct part. I am installing a MK3 back box but require the silencer to replace the custom straight pipe installed at the moment. I have purchased several silencers including the SE71B which is the smaller 8v bore and recently went for a MK3 silencer to fit straight on the back box but was sold an AUDI A3 silencer which was to short and had hangers at the CAT end rather than on the 90 bend.

Does anyone know the exhaust code for the MK2 silencer and/or MK3 silencer. Alternatively the best place to buy one. Have found nowt on the net and Camberley Auto factors have nothing.

Many thanks

Cordie/Ibiza mk2 - 2.0 16v ABF = 6K6 253 409 K

Ibiza mk3 - 1.8 20vt AQX,AYP = 6K6 253 409M

Ibiza mk3 - 1.8 20vt AQX,AYP (R Model) = 6KL 253 409 A

I know it doesn't help but still currently no Bosal X-Ref listed for these and the 227-463 (2.0 8v) is definately 50mm as i have one on shelf i just measured

Thanks for that. I need a 54mm bore. The mk3 back box is 54mm and i have a connecting sleeve for the silencer. I would have thought the mk3 silencer would be easy to get hold of. Im really not looking for a custom job but soon i will be just changing the back box and leaving the straight pipe and see what that does to the sound. Really want a less sporty note a more daily driver. With the remus box plus no silencer its a bit much a low revs

The Cordie/Ibiza mk2 - 2.0 16v ABF = 6K6 253 409 K code is given on alot of exhaust websites but matches the SE71B exhaust part. I order this first and it was to small  Is the SE71B correct and i will just have to install a reducer or will the MK3 silencer be the better option
