ibiza 1.8t 150 fr performance upgrades

Anyone know of any cheap but effective upgrades to get it a bit more powerful. not had the car long but feel it could a bit more.

Dump valve, cat back exhaust, panel filter and remap

i have been slowly doing mine mate, best bets are to do the following all prices very depending where you buy them:

1. PD160 Intake Hose & Adapter - £70 Roughly
2. K&N or Green Cotton Panel Filter - £45
3. Forge 007 Diverter Valve - £90
4. Full Miltek Cat-Back exhaust system - £290 Non Resonated
5. Custom Code Remap - £312.55

If you get all these upgrades you can easily see 200BHP - 210BHP out of that engine phase 1

Then all you need to do to get to Phase 2 is

1. Sports Cat - £350
2. Another Custom Code Remap £312.55 (40% Discount for upgrading)

From this you will see between 230BHP - 240BHP

Thanks very much for ya replies. where abouts have you been getting your remaps done mate. Where have you bought you filter and valve from?

valve direct from forge. remap from custom code ( they are mobile) guess p130 hoses etc. come from seat dealers?
Dont know about exhausts but would be interested my self. Custom code can supply panel filter, dont know if they are cheapest though.

Dont forget a FMIC as the FR only has a SMIC.

SMIC is good for phase 2 on the ibiza up to about 240bhp plus it's a £1,000 fitted expense so i shall not be going for this

Seat Dealer for PD160 intake

Formula 1 in brighton will be able to get all other parts for you

You WILL need a fmic for 240bhp. Some people get limp mode on stage one maps because the intake temps go so high.

Here is a graph to show how good the seat sport intercooler is, and I'm running about 210-215bhp

the FMIC is capable definatly @ phase 1 levels.

Phase 2 does tend to bring more problems to the surface because of intake temps etc, that is why it is recommended to upgrade to FMIC when upgrading to phase 2. The SMIC is adequate for phase 1 if you are not willing to spend 1k to have a FMIC

Yep, SMIC for phase 1 is ok but not for phase 2.

Thanks for your help with this lads, im definately getting the remap and the cotton filter and possibly the diverter valve. 200bhp would be very nice. Gunna take a trip to formula 1 on saturday and see what i can pick up. Cheers

you will have to get the valve if getting the remap, otherwise it will just blast that standard plastic one apart. also, get the PD160 intake if your getting the panel filter, the PD160 is a lot less restrictive

ok cheers mate. will be getting these done. I would prefer to do all the mods at once so i can get the feel of the full benefit. cant wait now, just need to get saving!
