Hello everyone.

As the topic says im converting my ibiza into a turbo car.

Here is some pictures to begin with:

I got everything I need except an ECU. I have run a test drive with my original ECU, but when the ECU registers the pressure coming from the turbo, the engine turns off. I have been thinking about getting a piggyback. I have also tried out a old model of the MS, and that didn't work. But would a ECU from a Ibiza 1.8T work?
Do you guys know any piggybacks that would fit the original ECU perfectly or is it possible to get a ECU that would fit my engine ?

Thank you in advance.

/Lasse

you still using the drive by wire I guess? and plastic intake plenum?
what boost you planning on running with the high compression ratio of the engine?

thank you.

Yes i am.

I am aiming for 0.5 maybe 0.7 bar boost.

My compression ratio is 9.5 : 1 at the moment, with an extra top gasket.

for that money did you not consider a 1.8T engine transplant?

i doubt you will get as much bhp and torque out of your turbo

but never the less you have done a very good job =]

nice to see something different, and someone not sticking in the usual 1.8T transplant

fair play to you fella

I look forward to the results :)

yeah, the insurance for the 1.8T transplant would cost me way to much comparing to a turbo conversion.
but thank you all for the support.. :)

I couldn't get the MS to work because it was an old test model, and it didn't support CAN-BUS.

What is the latest with the latest with the project. Just bought a M45 eaton to do a similar project and would like what controller you went with to manage the boost.
