I have recentley bought a 53 reg Mk 4 Ibiza 1.9 TDi ( i think it is 100 bhp...not sure)
I want to modify it, such as induction kit, exhaust, alloys, lowering springs... etc.
I am hoping to start with an exhaust system, but as i am more or less completely clueless on it all, i have no idea where to start.
I would ideally like a twin exit exhaust system, that looks nice, sounds nice and most importantly improves performance.
Anyone know if this is possible?
I'm also looking at getting a cupra front bumper, i have been reading something about the intercooler being in a different place, if i bought a cupra bumper and put it on my standard tdi, would i need to have the indicator relocated???
Would appreciate it if anyone can help, with any ideas about the above.

Oh and also, while i remember, i am trying to wire in my sub enclosure, but am having problems trying to find somewher suitable to run the wires, any ideas on this????
thanks! AARON :D

Exhaust from Milltek, cat back or full system??

If you get a cupra bumper you'll need a FMIC as heat soak will result and you'll lose power, that or take fog light cover out to get air to SMIC.

Lowerings springs £150 from eibach or coilovers (best bet) from £300 upwards.

Does it have 5 or 6 speed gearbox??

Cheers, its a 5 speed gear box, by the way, most of the stuff you are saying i have no idea what you mean lol. but i get the general idea, any clues on my sub wiring? i jus don't want to have to start stripping the whole interior, it was easy in my saxo, as everything was flexible... with Ibiza's its allllll plastic. lol

If its 5 speed it 100bhp so a map will see 140bhp.

A fmic is Front Mounted Intercooler, you have a Side Mounted Intercooler! :)

Wire runs down passengwer side under seats and under passenger door plastic cover.

So if i do get the Cupra bumper, whats easiest?.... to just take the foglight out and keep the SMIC or relocate it to a FMIC???.... i'm learning!! lol. :D i am frustrated atm because my baby iz currently in the garage having a new bonnet, bumper lights etc after i had a little shunt on the motorway! i'm kind of wishing now that i just bought the cupra bumper and asked them 2 fit that instead! lol As soon as i get it back (hopefully tommorrow as i am having 2 put up with a sh#t fiat punto 1.2 now!) i'm gonna have another go at the sub and everything. see how it goes. After that, if all goes well i have big plans 4 her when i get paid :D

Also, if i was to put 17" alloys on, and have it lowered would i get any problems such as rubbing on the arches when i have a carfull etc. thanx

Sub wire goes through hole right in the top corner of the scuttle

Taking your fog light out would be the easiest thing to do, getting an FMIC would be better but ofcourse more expensive...

Should be ok lowered if you going down 30mm or so I think. Would've thought so with the ridiculous stance they have!

As far as the whole FMIC/SMIC goes, what am i best to do??? at the moment i really don't have the money 2 get a FMIC and the cupra bumper, will i notice the difference if i fit the cupra bumper, keep the SMIC, and jus take out the foglight?? will it really make that much difference?.. I'm a bit concerned... lol. pricey pricey pricey!!! also... i have searched the threads and i'm still none the wiser, do i have to buy the cupra bumper from a seat dealer or can i get it anywhere else?

I'd opt for the FMIC over the cupra bumper, but thats just me. as far as i know people havent had major issues with the fog light removed running the SMIC. It will make that much difference as with the light in the air cant get to the SMIC. Cupra bumper as Gaz says. Look in the Mk4 FAQ sub-forum (at the top of the list of the mk4 forum) and theres a huge thread in there dedicated to cupra bumpers and also other stuff that will help you.

EDIT- I see you've posted in this forum, oh well, just take a decent read of the threads
