Well it's here and I have to say it's bloody fantastic.
Colour - Emocion Red
Extras - CD Autochanger (lease car so I'm restricted in what I can add)
First impressions -
Much nippier than my previous
MK1 Leon Cupra 20VT.
Awesome accelaration & brakes (thank God)
Quite a bit more road noise though but no rattles or vibrations.
Seems roomier - great leg space in the front & more than the old version in the back.
Boot space is about the same.
Not sure about the windscreen pillars but I think I'll get used to them.
Very nice black interior and the front seats are great.
Sound system - not as good as the previous version - not so much bass.
Faults found so far -
No cover on the fuse box.
CD Auto changer not connected properly - right hand channel is about half the volume of the left channel but no problems when playing CD in dashboard or with radio.
Don't appear to have the right tools to remove the wheels.
Looks like I need some sort of Allen Key
Have been on to the Seat dealer from whence it came who are "investigating" - actually when you start questioning these guys it's amazing how little they know
Other points - the handbook is not very helpful - nothng new there then.
Appears to be based on a standard model so doesn't cover some of the Cupra's extras very well.
Trying to find a cable for the MP3 connection is proving difficult - went into Halfords and they basically didn't know what the hell I was talking about
So called Universal mats don't fit in the front - you need to buy 4 x rear mats if you want to protect the original ones. This is not easy as all everyone wants to sell you is a set of 2 fronts & 2 rears
Anyway, can't stop, I'm off for another drive.
