Hybrid turbo boost pressure

measured my boost some time ago and i got constant 1.75bar, is this about right for 206bhp? what boost are hybrids able for constant?

i think paulo runs a v high 2 bar, but about 1.8 is normal from the few i have read about.

i was peaking at 2.2 bar, 2.4 with propane but that was to high really.

Hmmm, someone on uk-mkivs has an AMD conversion with the stage 1 turbodynamics turbo. Apparently the highest rating for that is about 1.6 bar. Now his car was dynoed at 215bhp and on different dynoes with about 1 or 2 bhp difference, but he claims his is only running 1.5bar boost. Could this be possible with 215bhp?

90 % of the time its fine, but i get the odd turbo not kicking in leaving lots of smoke.

Stock Pd150 runs 1.5bar. PD160 1.55bar.

But the AMD hybrid might not create as much heat as the stock PD150 running at 1.5bar. So less heat more air maybe?

Remembr that it's the amount of air that you pushing though that matters and of course at what rpm the maps start cutting boost.
1.5bar is too low for a stage 1 TD turbo to be doing 215hp, unless it soots like crazy.

That is one of the reasons for going with a hybrid.

How about doing some MAF readings? See how much air is passed through.

did MAF logs when i first got the hybrid and it peaked at 1150. when it showed 1150 as actual it showed 850 as requested!

Seems low. I've loged mine at around 1200 peak. Are you using block 10 fro the MAF? and block 11 for requested and actual boost?

I use block 3 for the MAF reading. you should be seeing a bit more Micky. Mine peaks at 1450mg/cyc.

a slightly worn MAF or to do with the mapping?

most likely a slightly worn MAF. 850mg/cyc is the highest you'll get for requested unless someone decides to change the map (for some stupid reason).
I would think you'd see more than that doing 1.75bar.
