Hi folks,
I think my turbo might be on its way out so i'm looking into options.
My first plan is to get an OEM replacement.
My second plan and reason for this post is.......
Send off my turbo for hybrid treatment. My main question is,can i do this and run it on my current map until I can afford the new clutch/map etc?
Sorry if this is a VERY STUPID question

This has been covered before but I heard you can do it for a few 100 miles but it may also damage the turbo, don't know how true it is tho

You can run a hybrid on a stock map. I ran an Allard hybrid for a good 2 months - even RR'd it at 150bhp (stock pd130)

The thing is, normally when you send a turbo for hybrid treatment they insist it is 100% mechanically sound. If your turbo is giving up you might need to find a replacement 2nd hand one in good condition to get given the overhaul.

Thanks for the replies folks.Going in for big service tomorrow. Will get them to check for leaks etc, then at least i'll have some idea where to go from here.
Its stressing me out a bit at the moment waiting for a horrible BANG or something whilst driving :headhurt:
