Just had my 30000 mile service done on my LCR - £165 including brake fluid change - happy with that! On top of that, when I had the 20000 mile service done, I couldn't drop it off 'cos of work commitments so they collected my car from work, serviced it, cleaned it and had it delivered back to work before 430 pm! But get this - when I bought it in 2004, they gave my wife and I tickets to the cupra and BTCC race at Silverstone, access to the Seat hospitality suite, access to the race car prep area, all the food and booze we could manage and to cap it all, Jason Plato sat and had lunch with us! Oh and we got a free umbrella to boot! Guess where my next car is coming from... :D

had some work done a couple of months back and they tried to take an extra 60 quid off me - when I told him that he had quoted me a set amount, he quickly revised the charge to me. I didn't like that he was just trying to get away with charging me as much as possible. There is no feeling of customer care and it's soured my overall view of this branch.

The lady on the phones is hardly a rocket scientist either.

I'd go elsewhere - it'll be worth the drive and the extra fuel costs.

I bought my car from Perrys in Aylesbury. Stop laughing!
The parts help there is crap!

At Humphries the bloke who runs the parts department is great.
He didn't have the part I wanted so gave me directions to an independant stockist and guess what? I found what I needed.

As with most dealers the person you talk to first sets yor mind about that dealer.
I like Humphries and my car is probably going there for its first service.

Guy.

Dont do it Guy! Go to APS in Brackley, an independant garage who really know about vag cars. From you place it would be quicker to (I think)
They do all the work on my car. I went to Humfries once and will never ever go back!

My one and only trip to Humphries made my mind up that I won't be going there again!! Customer service was terrible.

I'm going to try Inde-tech in Mliton Keynes as my folks live not far from there.

Just had 30K service done on Toledo 20VT at Humphris - £140.
Customer service seemed fine, straight in and out for drop off and collection, courtesy car was ready and waiting etc. The only thing that bothered me slightly was that my front tyres needed replacing, which they called me to let me know, and then quoted me a price without mentioning which brand they were intending to fit - if I had assumed they were fitting the original brands and hadn't bothered checking I would have ended up with a pair of Firestones. Apparently they don't stock Continentals, which is a bit odd as they were SEAT original equipment.
For the actual work they did £140 might be a bit steep, but I guess you're paying for the stamp in the book and convenience as much as anything.

I've had all my services there, probably about 6 in all. Every time I swear I won't go back, but usually do because I need a loan car and a stamp in my book.

Customer service is questionable, I've even argued about the stalk controls on my car! - I said they're there for a reason, they should work, they said it's not a supported feature.. come on, it's in the handbook, return it to the condition I brought the car to you in!

They have snapped plastic fixings in the engine bay, lost the clips for the engine cover, scratched my interior trim, spilled oil on my seat and despite all that I still go back..

why? Well recently they started to offer a £99 basic 10k service on cars over 5 years old and I wanted a stamp in the book and oil changed. Don't expect miracles and you'll be fine.
