How to replace the 2 small FR honeycomb grilles?

Can anyone please tell me what I need to do to replace my standard grilles for FR examples?

I've searched several Ibiza sites/forums for information of how-to's but I can't seen to find anything!

Hope I posted in the right section, I'm kinda new here :funk:

These are the ones:

Welcome to the site :)

Do you mean all the front grilles? or just the two either side of the main grille with the 'S' badge on?

Like your avatar pic by the way!

To take out the lower grill the clips that hold them on are melted to keep them in place so may be alot easier to take the bumper off and play with some pliers. Or just rip them off as I did unless you need them for some reason.

yeh I didn't look at the link either, top ones hell rip em off!! Not sure if you can do it without taking the bumper off I never tried as I was putting the facelift bumper on and using my honeycomb grills off my old bumper.

Thanks for all the quick replies!

I couldn't post a full link as I don't have 15 posts yet, so I left de 'http' bit out :p

Guess I'll just have to take the bumper off then! :)

bumper off is easy by the way, type it in the search I even once posted pics from a tech manual disc that show you where the screws are

totally agree - taking the bumper off one of these is probably one of the easiest and quickest of all the (modern) cars I've had!
And really easy to put back on too - always lines up perfectly!

Did mine without taking the bumper off

If you lift the bonnett, undo all the screws that hold on that black plastic strip and then basically pull it forward it wont snap its quite flexible
then you can see all the clips that hold in the original ones, you will also notice they are either melted or glued in!
all as i did was get a long flat screwdriver and brake the clips off from behind, out they pull

In go the Facelift Honeycombes and jobs done!

obviously this only works if you dont mind breaking the old ones!

mine does not sit as perfect as I'd like on the outer edges of the headlight but that's prob cos it's new bumper sat in storage, now it's been on nearly a year I may try adjusting it now it may have more flex!
