How to keep clean

I am picking up my new cupra in 3 weeks and it is having the autoglym lifeshine treatment fitted, my question is what do i need to do to keep the car looking clean and easy to wash. If i start to use other waxes and polishes do i run the risk of removing the original lifeshine treatment? Does this also prevent me from claying the car in future, any help greatfully received.

applying other waxes / sealants over the AG kit your having applied wont affect there performance but they will alter the finish and add their own characteristics to the blend.

claying the car will remove everything from the paint so if your paying for the AG kit and plan to clay the car i'm afraid your going to be wasting money.

Is claying the car paintwork essential to getting a really good finish ?, or can i keep the lifeshine treatment topped up with a good regular cleaning/waxing regime, Luckily i am not paying the dealership for the treatment, but i have bought a set to diy off ebay.

Generally you dont need to clay a car (of normal use) more than every 4-6 months. Even then sometimes it isnt required.

The best way to test is to run your hand over the paint work with a sandwich bag over it. The bag will exaggerate the surface and show up any contamination better. If there is a lot then you'll need to clay but as i said before, claying will remove the AG kit.

General maintainence with shampoo and wax etc wont degrade the finish the dealers apply.
