how to get at the tappets

hi, wonder if anyone can help, i need to get at the tappets to remove and clean them, there is a thread on here on how to clean them, but i dont know how to get to them. can anyone advise? not using too much technical lingo! this is the one of the the two last things need doing before the engine is running great again! so any advice will be much appreciated!

Register on vagcat.com, once on there navigate to the "catalogue" and select the Ibiza 6L.
It doesn't have how-to's but does have exploded views of most of the parts of the car.
