How much power realistically?

After a lot of thinking over the last few months. I was thinking about putting my Leon in and getting a Subaru RB320. I have now come to the decision that I am going to play around with the Leon.

My main question is that how much power can you realistically going through the front wheels that is useable on the roads. Is there anthing you can do to help traction?

Well my Focus ST could cope alot better with putting 270bhp to the road than my current LC with just 220bhp (at best!) can hope to cope with lol! So its big time down to the car!

Be prepared to do a few mods not just for getting the power but getting it down on the road like DBM & engine mounts, Bushes etc....

Speaking of STs I've got one fitted to mine and it makes one HELL of a difference to how much power you can get down. I'm running 360lbft through my front wheels with very little drama.

I've still got the ST, but probably going to the dark side and getting an Ibiza FR TDI in the next few months.

Yeah, loved my ST, but I've been WFH so much its sat on the drive going nowhere and mpg wasn't the best when I did use it so sensible choice was to sell. Now got a Leon Cupra Stage 1 mapped and a load of cash in the bank, and I'm getting almost 10mpg more than the ST!! Like the Ibiza's and a TDi is a good option, went up against one the other day and was surprised how pokey it was!

Yeh I want to get more power to be able to put it down on the road. I know there will be some work to do to the car itself rather than just the power but I do want to some how plan to break over the 300+ barrier but need to know how to stop the wheels from spinning on the spot and if this is possible

Someone will be a long who knows better than me but you'll need a fair bit of work for 300bhp!!

ko4 turbo uprated inter coolers and air in takes decat 007/dv cone filter,new tip intake uprated boost hoses all round up rated brakes /pads stage 2remap, blue flame full system exsuast,n429 by pass,
new dog and bone mounts strut brace and very decent tryes.............................................................!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! should put the power down
should c you around 275 290bhp... rough guide..

I have 220bhp / 251lb of torque and have no problem with getting the power down at all.

Yeh I know, its just my brother put the idea in my head and I thought about it, and in a way I wanna make a nice example of the Leon first. I have always wanted a Leon and it would be a shame to see it go so soon. I will be getting a Scooby or Evo in the future, just want to have some fun with this first. And plus if I get the Scooby it will just be loads to do as my bro owns a C63 AMG and I would want to get my scooby faster than him lol.

Thanks for all the advice guys I need to get a new turbo kit and have been speaking to someone about making it 325BHP but he hasn't told me about how to keep the power on the road, he has only quoted me for the turbo upgrade and all the internals.
