How much oil in PD130 / FR Sump?

Just a quick question...

I will be changing the oil and filter this weekend on my beeza and just wanted to check I had enough oil to top it back up with!

How much oil will it take to refill after draining the lot out?


Ive got 5ltr at the ready...just worried Ill need to get more!

Agreed - I always have 1/2 ltr left from a 5 ltr can after an oil & filter change

It is in the haynes manual for the polo

Ah that would make good sense. I heard that FINALLY Haynes are making a manual for the Ibiza.

If you use the Shell LubeMatch tool in the link below, you'll find the engine oil capacity once you've picked your model and engine. I don't use the Shell tool for deciding what oil to use but the capacity info is at least helpful!

Only a 2.8l capacity for my 1.2.

Ah thats quite a useful little database!

5ltr for coolant, really?! The coolent tant doesnt look that big, unless the rest of the system is pretty big ...!

Dont forget you have the reservoir, the radiator, the heater matrix, pipes and the engine itself.

No need to change G12 though.
