Hi,

Just wondering if people could tell me roughly how much their Cupra costs them to run for an average month?
Bit of a random question but im going to be buying one soon and would like to know how much im going to be spending on it, one thats been nicely looked after.

Thanks

Depends on the price of petrol, how empty it is when I get petrol and how much I drive her. From pretty empty to full is about £40.

expect about 30mpg average for around town maybe a little lower to be honest, 35 - 40 for taking it easy on the motorway.

I used to spend £100 a week on petrol but that's because I was doing about 170 / 180 miles a day

Tax will sting a bit more if the car is newer than March 2001, the occasional coil pack failure would cost £20 but that was only about twice a year.

The GF drives it to work and back - she does about 120 miles per week

£20 of super/optimax - averaging 30mpg (ish)

When I drive it - the mpg soon goes down !! lol

£10 fuel can easily be done in 10 mins in the ibiza.. my fiesta used to do a full tank in an hour on a track! that was only a 1600!

Dont think you will do £10 in 10 mins on the road unless you are driving like an idiot. Worst I have ever had was just under £60 of Vpower doing about 100 miles but this was to the extreme and involved some not normal road driving.

i usually drive about 120miles a week to and from work, and its all stop start traffic...only a short bit of a3 dual carriage way and i usually put about 25quid in a week. Usually get anywhere between 24-28mpg which i think is quite good for stop start driving. But from a full tanks work i struggle to get over 200miles! I know if it were motorway driving i would be well into the 30's mpg, but i think its all down to how you drive and road conditions. But if driven well these cars can be very efficent.... just stay off the boost!:(

i do 400+ miles a week, which i have done too a single tank, but normally, just short of 2 tanks a week for me, so costs a fortune  but i dont care cos its so much fun
