Hi guys and gals.

Just wondering how much Seat charge for the bumpers and skirts from both the Facelift Cupra and the LCR.

Also, what mods should I be looking at? I'm going to get a remap in a couple of months' time, but what else? Is it worth fitting a decent induction kit, exhaust, etc, any little things I should change, i.e. DV etc?

Cheers :)

not sure of exact prices but once you get on the point of respraying them professionally its going to cost. Your best bet is to play the waiting game if money is an issue and pick up skirts and bumpers on ebay and scrappers etc

In terms of modifications-;
Remap
Induction
Exhuast
DV

all changeable and plenty of options for each out there, just spend a few months reading this place and you'll know everything there is to know about your car

Mate, brace yourself for an influx of "use search button" replies.

Regardless of that, try ebay for OEM bumpers. That and the For Sale section of this site.

Stage 1 remap needs nowt but standard parts. For a 180BHp 20v T 1.8 Cupra, you'll get around 215ish BHP end-game.

After that.. go the normal route of upgrades. Induction with CAI or replacement performance panel filter. Decent turbo exhaust manifold and cat-back/or your choice exhaust system etc. the list goes on.

Hundreds of threads on here related to the best route through the modding mine field.

What's the advantage of changing the DV? I'm not sure what type I'd go for, i.e. another recirc or an atmospheric one.

I was looking at some of the more costly K&N induction kits....

As for bumpers and skirts, there just don't seem to be any about.... much less in yellow!

if you want to do bumpers you will have to get ones that arent your colour and get them sorted

d/v's

basically these engines dont like atmospheric d/v's so you basically have to replace with a recirc valve. Forge 007p is the most common and best choice. You get no bhp increase from it but it keeps the turbo spinning between gear changes and is more reliable

the plastic originals are common failure items, esp post remap

There is one option in terms of an atmospheric D/V. Forge's new Split-R valve is both recirculating and an atmospheric d/v.
