How much are 03 LCR's (210) worth?

Hi,

I'm hoping to get a lcr within the next month or so, and was just wondering what should I expect to be paying for an 03 plate lcr (210) with 50,000 miles or less that has been looked after with full service history? (Any colour)

I looked on Parker's car price guide and their valuation for a 53 plate lcr with 60,000 miles in good condition is £5550. I've been keeping my eye out on autotrader for a while and I haven't seen many for this price except maybe ones with 100,000miles +

I'm looking to spend £6000-6500, could I expect one like the above for that money?

Thanks

Paul dont misslead the lad its not fair. RED is the colour of LEGENDS.

£6500 is probably a good target to spend. with that kind of mileage i would reccomend spending a few pennies more and getting one from a seat dealer for the benifit of what is quite a good warranty. otherwise you may regret it... and there are deals to be done at the moment. i got almost 3k off mine in august gone plus loads of goodies and extra jobs done. And they resprayed the front bumper!!

one of my friends bought a 03 plate 210 with 80k on clock for £4500 as it was cat C, he's a mechanic.. spent a full day checking car over, engine was perfect, turbo perfect, gear box perfect, and car wasnt shunted badly, plus the guy had the pics from accident (rear quarter knocked off) personally i think he got himself a good deal.. car runs great and looks perfect..

Thanks for the replies. I've actually seen one on ebay near where I live for £4900, the thing is it is cat d due to water damage although the dealer rekons it runs perfect and looks perfect inside and out. It's a 53 plate with 41000 miles. The only other problem is the air bag light is on. Is this worth looking at or should I stay away from it? I cant post a link to the picture of the VAG-COM diagnostic because I haven't got 15 posts yet but the two fault codes are:

2 DTC'S found:

01221 - Crash Sensor Side Airbag: Driver Side (G179)
62-00 - No or Incorrect Adjustment

01222 - Crash Sensor Side Airbag: Passenger Side (G180)
62-00 - No or Incorrect Adjustment

does anyone know if this is an expensive problem to fix or MOT failure?

thanks, scott

dont think it'll be a failure as a car doesnt 'have to' have air bags... but its ur peace off mind..
they maybe failing for another reason. but id definately get a signed notice from him saying that the CAT D is water damage and not from accident.. baring in mind a cat D isnt actually a bad thing (altho people think this) as i had a cat D purely cos my x keyed the car..

check connectors under the seats as they could have set off the light, maybe they are damaged from the infamous water.. find out what actually the reason for the D is... why was it so 'Wet' that it was a D???

i got my black lcr 210 about 8 months ago, cost me £4000, 1 owner from new, full service history etc, 89k on the clock, now at 94k and gotto get engine out to repair the gearbox so would highly recomend trying to get one with warranty if possible mate! not trying to worry you but personally i woudnt buy a car thats had water damage!

have you taken it out for a test drive?

Water damage is the one thing I'd steer clear of, easily the worst kind of repairable damage that could happen to a car. That car could be full of such gremlins until it gets to the crusher. I'd rather have an accident damaged and repaired Cat D any day.

Well I rung the dealer, and someone is looking at it today so he said give him a ring back tomorrow. To be honest I'm not that bothered if it goes I think I'll wait until one more suitable comes up, thanks for the comments
