How many miles on your LCR's OE clutch since remap?

I'm contemplating a remap for my LCR.

However, after reading various posts, it seems that some folks' OE clutches have problems (slippage) after remapping their LCR.

Coincidence or bad luck?

How many miles has your LCR done on its original, factory-fit clutch after a remap?

Thanks.

I think stage 2 would be better for clutch tbh, smoother power/torque delivery.

Mines fine, as said, depends how you drive it.

My stage 2 REVO was a more aggressive map, not as smooth at stage 1, this knackerd the clutch after about 20,000 miles.
Not point replacing it until it goes really...

I must admit I give it the beans quite often as its very open roads up my way and i'm on the standard clutch still and the cars been mapped for 2 years with no sign on slipping (touches wood)

The way to knacker a clutch is to put a lot of torque through it when in a high gear (i.e. pootling along at 30mph in 5th and then putting your foot down).

You won't knacker it with a remap if your in the right gear (over 2500rpm) when you floor it.

Thanks for replies.

Out of interest, does anyone know if the Mk2 Cupra (237bhp & 203lb ft) has the same clutch as a LCR? And does the Mk1 S3 & TT 225 share the LCR's clutch?

Also, perhaps it's significant that SEAT deemed it necessary to fit a beefier clutch to the LCR compared to the (Mk1) LC's?

How many miles has your clutch done...

45k remapped on the same clutch. It must be pretty beefy to last so long, who makes it?

clutch just started slipping on 48k (remapped from 1,000 miles). Revo stage 1. Gone for a sachs 150 jobbie.

Would say a smoother AMD map put less stress on the clutch than the more aggressive REVO? Or is the difference negligible..
