Both my seats came with one remote/one non remote. If you use the non remote, on opening the door you have to insert the key in the ignition within 20 seconds (2003 onwards ish) or so or the alarm will go off. I and the wife equally share the cars, I complained to the dealer that with the children it was clearly not practical to do this when in a car park putting kids in car with key in the ignition first, taking trolleys back etc etc. I insisted that they give me another key......... so thety did:D On the ibiza which I bought second hand (non franchise garage) I got a new key for £80 all in In December last yr, (Premier Stoke)

go on ebay and get a vw flip key with the code ending in AG. I was told to get that one and mine works fine. Get it with a blank blade (Timpsons or any other big name key cutter can cut it for about 6-7 quid). Open your non button remote and carefully with a knike or similar take the little glass transponder out of it (usually got a little bit of glue to hold it in so cut it away). Replace the transponder in the flip key with the new cut blade. Then you need to match up the lock and unlock buttons on the new remote which is simple enough using the button remote you have and the new flip key. I cant remember the exact sequence order so have a look on the how to part of the forum which explains and job done. Phone the main stealers and quote 1mo837891ajgt for the little seat badge to replace the VW (the screw to open the remote is under this) p.s I found the vw badge a nightmare to get off so got the smallest drill bit i could find and from the inside drilled a little hole to push the badge out without wrecking the plastic ring around the badge. Bit if glue to put the badge on with and thats it. Hope this helps

Yeah - overall and same as me just 4 weeks ago, received one flip/remote control key and one standard. I thought a new key can only be purchased from VW/Seat as it needs to be programmed, and they cost shed loads.

Do a search on here m8, should be able to have one sorted for under £50.
I have 2 flip keys and a fully working standard key :)

Alot of LCR's have been de-locked, as the standard car can be easily broken into by means of a serious securiy flaw in the Mk1 Leon / Mk IV Golf Alarm / Lock system ( do a search for the 'windows down' break in technique on this site ) . As someone who fallen foul to this and had his alloys nicked as a result, a de-locked Cupra R is an excellent thing, even if you have to climb in through the boot if the batteries go flat on your remote.

Yup you only get one remote and a ordinary key.

I don't know if you can program keys via VAG-COM, but I've seen remotes keys for sale on ebay and also the programing guide for sale, which i suppose your taking a bit of a chance with.

But to get a new remote and have it programmed by a SEAT 'stealer' i got quoted £75.00  Umm i said think i'll wait....
