Just about to buy some springs for my lcr, but it’s already quite low at the front. Has anyone had experience driving a lowered lcr? Could you tell me how practical it is - or isn’t.
It scrapes here and there now but I want to take the gap out of the arch. 30mm???
Cheers,

mate, tbh you have 2 dilemas..

firstly, the lower you go the worst the handling will be, 20mm is fine for everyday driving, you may still be able to go in multi storeys etc, 25-30mm is still ok but you will have to take it quite easy cos this is LOW

secondly, alot of people forget that the front splitter is no where near the lowest part of the car, if you lower it so it fills the arches the sump guard is probably another inch to inch and a half lower than that, so go carefull...

if you wanna go low invest in some decent adjustable coilovers which will lower the car to your desired level but you will have a decent amount of comfort...i.e KW variant 2 or 3, H & R coilovers

up to you bud, but im lowering mine 25mm, still got the looks, but you have more performance than if it was lowered 30mm

I agree with you totally but im not sure you can get springs that only drop 20mm - if I could I would.
I really don’t want to go coilover, I cant stand the rock solid ride that ive had with previous cars.
Maybe i should just line the floors with concrete? lol

dunno mate, the cupras are slightly different than cupra Rs, most people go the eibach 25mm springs and koni dampers that are around £470..

as i said some coilovers these days are quite comfortable but you will need to splash out a bit...if you get £300 coilies then they will be hard, KW variant 2s are around £850 but they can be quite comfy

tbh the cupra R suspension isnt really comfy either, very crashy and squeaky

why is the arch so massive on leons... :( I want to lower it too, but it'll be a while before i could afford some decent coilies...
