My 'beeza has 17" alloy wheels on it, just wondered if i got the 60 - 40 lowering kit for it, would the arches still take the alloys, as i dont want to have to find out after carrying out the work that i need smaller alloy wheels...
Well ive got 15's on my 1.4 with 195/50 tyres. Ive lowered it 60mm/40mm i think, was only meant to be 40/40 but i think it is more than that. I dont get any rubbing, i only get it if i good over a speedbumps alittle to fast or hit a bad bump in the road. But im not complaining cos it looks loads better than the way it did before!
The lad i brought my mk2 cupra from told me that it had been lowerd 60mm im not sure if that was all round or the front but in 18months of owning it i never once had any scubage with 17"`s
Thats my old mk2 mate havent got it any more, But not as fare as i am aware it hasnt been sprayed only the bonnet and that was after that piccy was taken. give it a good detail by hand mate that should bring you a nice shine.
Theres a few pics of my car lowered 60/40 (More like 50mm all round) on 15's. Bigger wheels aint practical for me cos i use my car for work and carry passengers!! Was only meant to be a 40/40 lowering kit but i aint complaining cos it looks good and im happy with the way it looks.
When i was looking for my alloys i was going to go for 16's or 17's but i cudnt afford to tyres for those sizes so i went for 15's cos i was able to afford to buy tyres.
