Now then ian hows things? Think you just need to drain gearbox oil and remove driveshaft(s) and gear linkages then undo all housing bolts and be prepared for the weight? ramp will make life easier as said plus some help.

ian..

i may not be able to help but i can say its joing to be a bit of a job. just make sure you have some spare driveshaft / CV boot bolts... these are sometimes buggers to get out and it does get quite difficult at points especially since there is limited room down there!

i am needing to change my clutch soon and was wondering how hard it will be with the car up on axle stands ?
i dont have a ramp avalible to me and no mechanic mates... but i have done / enjoy learning abou these things.

it wasnt so much of a snap it was more off rounding heads of the bolts because some stupid idiot (when making the car) thought he should stand on the bolt and jump up and down to make sure it would not come out!

its called lock tight, if it wasnt used your gearbox would fallen off ages ago

no its called being over torqued... NONE of the other bolts where like that,

it was not corroded and the bolt was in perfect condition. when i finally got the bolt out after lots of drilling you can see where it had been done up far too tight and it had stressed the bolt.
