I find it weird that the workshop manual says to let it warm up at idle until the fan turns on when changing and bleeding the coolant.
Is just me that it takes almost an hour to even reach 70ºc ?
When I changed the timing belt I had this issue, I was monitoring the temperature through OBD since this cars don't have temperature gauge and it was warming up so so slow.
Even when driving normally it takes like 15 minutes of driving highway speeds to reach 90ºc, it's been like this for years on that I thought it was normal.
But is it ? Always had this question.
I have another tdi in the family, 2 years more recent, and it reaches the op temperature in 5-7 min about 4-5km.
Mine takes around 14 km which is 15 minutes of driving the same route.
I've already thought of changing the thermostat but the temperature doesn't drop while driving so I don't know if that will fix anything.
