I have just bought a Seat Leon 2011 1.6 tdi.

It was serviced by the dealer as I got it a couple of weeks ago, but the "spanner" has now appeared saying service within 117 days, or 700 miles- how do I clear this, please.

Thanks,

Service light reset is as follows:-

1. Press and Hold the Odometer knob in
2. Turn the ignition on (do not start the car though)
3. Turn the odometer knob to the right and hold for about 5 secs.
4. Release odometer knob and switch ignition off.
5. Start car, Service indicator should now be gone

Worth mentioning the method MATTCR has mentioned will reset the service indicator as required but this will result in the car being on fixed service intervals (every year/10k).

If you want it to be on variable service intervals, where the car monitors various things to determine when the car should be serviced, you will will need to have it reset by the dealer or using VCDS (but only if you know what you're doing).

I think Speedfreak reset his via VCDS to variable servicing recently so he might be able to help if needed. :)
