How do de-code standard sterio?

Hubby disconnected my battery earlier, and now my sterio needs a code, however the code thats in my manual isnt working.

Am I going to have to pay to have it de-coded, or can it be done on the cheap? Its going to drive me potty having nothing to listen to.

The stereo code should be in your manual, otherwise phone seat with your stereo serial number and chassis number

It looks like the sterio in the car may not be the original one that came with it, because the code in the manual wont work.
Guess i'll have to call Seat. Thanks!

This happened to me i had to go to seat, the chap took 2mins to sort it, he went to the car without any equipment and it was done, i think there is a code you put in to the stereo and it lets the mechanic in to the menu and it then can be re coded, i didnt give any serial numbers or chassis numbers and the stereo was'nt removed, cost £15.

£15 isnt so bad I suppose. Cant believe the code I have in my manual isnt working. Either we are doing something wrong or the stereo was changed. Just my luck! lol

Yeah the code i was given with the unit was wrong.

you have to put the first digit in using the number 1 button press once for 1 twice for 2 ect and the number 2 for the second digit ect then after you have got the all in correct just press the FM button for the radio.

If that dont work you have the wrong code and a tripp to the dealers
