Interesting idea, for the noise it makes alone. Lovely engine - but I didn't think it was that much different size wise to the VR6, so if the bloke can get that in the Mk2, I'd have thought for a little effort this would have gone in.

Shame the 32 lump didnt come with more power as standard, used to be able to hold on to them easily with my old CTR and i can state the Focus RS slowly walks away.

Too right - the R32 Golf weighs as much as a house, its the biggest weakness of that car, after a lack of power. 240bhp is pretty poor from that engine, although you'd like to think it is so understressed it would last forever!

Think the best car i have had along those lines was a bmw 330 sport, loved the engine in that, that again was faster than an R32 and a CTR.
