I know SCN is setup and run primarily to share information & experiences on our beloved SEATs, it seems thou that lots of us also share a passion for mountain biking so why not have a section in the general off topic chat for it? Fairly soon we could be combining SCN meets with a spot of biking...

Feel free to say no :) (if you don't ask you don't get)

I think its a good idea, then can end up doing a bit of car + biking! Drive to somewhere with a nice bike track (7stanes if its scotland) and then go biking : )

if m0rk and zboyd are happy i don't mind looking after it.i doubt we are going to get slanging matches or much c0ck sizing championships.
but if it as in off topic(lifestyle and sport) i guess thats is stu's baby, and as some of the gaming sub forums have died it could be an idea when you have a clean up?

tbh it would be nice (imho) to get a few more regular members helping out.put more in ,get more out :)

Nooooo.... Don't give Jase any more power. ;)

Whilest I agree that a biking section could be nice, I can't help thinking that it's covered under the Lifestyle and Sport sections. Also if a biking section's started, what's to stop people asking for a football or DIY or whatever section?

Biking is easier to cover than Football, as you get either road biking, or non road biking,

Football you get all of 320984039583045834098 teams, and will more than likely have arguments over who is the best team etc :)

Agree it could spark a more requests for other sections, football etc but biking isn't controversial and shouldn't insight anger from one forum member to another... (ignoring my comments above :p )

I don't know... you've got the off roaders and then you've got the on roaders, with those funny hybrid people in the middle. ;)

Has anyone tried riding a recumbant or however its spelt on a road? The ones where you are like sitting / lying on it, apparently you can get stupidly fast speeds on them, its kindof exciting although like hell id use one on the uk roads!

I used to have one, seriously quick - but not 'fun' in traffic

Easy 30+ on the flat (which given I was happy sitting at 20-25 on a std bike) wasn't too bad.

ah, one of my mates was wanting me to goto Spain with him in the summer and hire some... Not too sure about it though...

you can't see over your shoulder... also other people can't see you as you're so low.

But it will teach you to pedal (rather than get off the saddle!)
