Ok, got my facelift bumper today (ebay) but some of the fixings have broken off the top of the honeycome part. Now, i dont really mind as i would like to change the honeycomb to the slats (Which are on my pre-facelift bumper) I HAVE had a good search but didnt really find the answers? All i need to know is can i just swap the grilles over? i know the grilles eather side of the badge are not just 2 small bit of honeycomb, They seem to be part of the bumper but i think it will come off? but im not sure if its the same on my pre-facelift bumper? Any help would be great pleases guys ;) Thanks a lot!

Yeah, it's one long fitting with two grilles at the top

They're sometimes plastic welded to the back of the bumper, but if you've got the bumpers off anyway this shouldn't cause you any major problems

Thanks for the reply. I havent taken the original bumper off yet so i dont know if the grills are held on in the same way as the facelift? i Just thought i would ask as im sure someone on here will know the answer.

just been inspired to do it as we speak!
putting a yellow one in instead of the green as i am running at about 19 psi on boost.
lovely people at forge recommended it. I noticed it was sounding a bit different to what it did in my cupra with lower boost, so i asked the question and they sent me a new yellow spring and a service kit aswell. all F.O.c aswell. i love forge!!!!!!!!

alot of people o believe are still running th egreen with no problems, but i just wanted to be sure :)

easy peasey....
just taken your valve out stick a pen up through the bottom port of it so you compress the spring inside and then put you finger over the little port on the top. When you taken the pen out , the spring should stay compressed, and when you take your finger of, it should then spring down again.

Just asking ask i was toying with the idea of putting honeycombe ones in to match the bottom ones on my lcr..:)

do you know if they are the same size honeycombe as the lcr ones?

I dont know about the size mate. some of the fixings on the top have broken off, the honeycomb part is all fine. If i can change the honeycomb to my original slats you are welcome to have the honeycomb and see what you can do with it?
