Hi all

Just bought honeycomb grills to replace the standard slatted ones on my Sport, just wondering what is the best way to fit them? is it a bumper off jobbie?

thanks :)

I got mine in without taking bumper off!

What i did was unbolt the bolts under the bonnet at the top ,Pull the bumper forward from the top (Its quite flexible) then we broke the clips from behind because you will find the original ones are glued in.

Once the clips are broken just yank old ones out and pop in the new ones job done

no need to remove or infact loosen any bumper retaining bolts;)

there are 2 plastic retainers on the top / slam panel, which you "ease" up the centre section with a flat bladed screwdriver then pull out the complete clip.

the grill is only then clipped in and should pull out ;)

where did you get a honeycomb grill from anyway, you got a price & link?

.......... think i have read your intial post wrong
thought you were on about the centre top grill.......

however all the other grills are just clipped in ;)

IIRC the fog light grills do have a retaining screw but once the screw is removed, they are just clipped in....
