Ok, i wanna finish off my FR, and heres my dilemma,

Do i firstly just go get the cupra front and rear bumpers like i had before along with the same MS design sideskirts, colour coded side strips.

Or do i, go get the SEAT bodykit and have a twin exhaust on the back ( there is a cut out on there for twin fitment)

dilemma is that option 1 requires a new intercooler and bumps the total cost up to £2000, and option 2 does not need a new intercooler.

Option 2 does not look as hard as my old FR did but is subtle and is standard stuff and would look good with my wheels and brakes. On top of that there are literally hundreds of people runnign cupra kits now, so the seat bodykit would seem ideal as its that little bit different to everyone else. oh and would cost £1000 fitted along with colour coded side strips.

So what do you all think, i would love some input on this as one minute i have made up my mind an the next minute i am undecided, i did'nt really want o make it into another cupra to keep my insurance company happy, plus as i said everyone is doing it and its too obvious.

Come on lets have your answers.

IMO, you should go for the SEAT kit, everyman and his dog has got the cupra kit, be different,

It should look cool in your colour,

Can't say I'm keen on the kit in the photos above, I think it's the sideskirts that don't appeal, somehow they look like an afterthought.

But I'm not a big fan of bodykits in general anyway....so you might want to ignore me :D

Cupra Kit for me im afraid. Its aggressiveness with say a de-badged grill and front mount makes it look very imposing. Now with some xenons, at least once a week people just randomly pull over to get out of my way (i do thank them) - saves fuel overtaking i guess :D

Im thinking of cutting the front lower honeycomb in a triangular shape to match the bumpers lines like this /xxxxx\ to my FMIC and then spraying a seat sport or similar logo on the intercooler, should really set off a silver (or platinum/black) car IMO.

You keep posting photos of your old car just so I have to look at them skirts dont you :p

Cupra Kit and MS design skirts but I would say that! :funk:

Ps was your red ibiza lowered at all? cos I put the skirts on the car on Monday for a "Test" fit and they sit very low to the ground which I didnt expect!

I much prefer the Cupra kit on your red car. For me it looks a lot cleaner and tidier at the front and with the air intake being wider at the bottom than the top it makes the car look wider and squatter. The air intakes on the other kit are rounded and draw your eye to the centre of the car, making it look a bit top heavy. I also prefer the simpler, bolder side skirts on the red car.

Just my opinion – what do I know?:D

What did you go for? I love the cupra kit, thats whyi got it, for looks - not to make it into something its not. Could wait and see if they bring out a different kit for the new bumpers?? jus a thought
