Went up southend and basildon lst night and car was brilliant all nigh up until i got it to 4th, kept feeling as though it was holding back when being really pushed and reminded me of when my old FR 1.8T used to retard back when it got to hot.
Any way coming back along motorway at 3am and decided to give it some beans and go for a top end run, dropped to 4th at 50 and she pulled really well and then up to 5th and at about 100 it just stopped, and coasted very quickly down to about 55-60. No boost no nothing, so alowed to coast just in case it was too hot ( althogh only 7c outside)drove another 3 miles, before pulling over and restting on the key by switching off. I am assuming it was intercooler related so have turned off REVO and will drive round standard for a while to see if it is.
Do have the SEAT sport intercooler on order, so should be the answer, but coupleing this with my low fuel economy, could there be anything triggering it all.
Also my mate had an ALTEA on friday the 1.9Tdi and that got seriously caned all night ( to the extent of it needs tyres swapped front to back!!) and it still returned 40mpg average even 5 up all nioght, and mine has given less than that being driven sensibly
