Hi peeps

I am just wondering who has the highest mileage cupra on here?

Mine's getting towards 70k and I am getting a bit uncofortable:( although the car is upto date with all the services!

What's the highest mileage 1.8T you've seen?

What do you mean uncomfortable? I was thinking of getting rid of mine and going for a high mileage cupra to save some money but maybe not....my fr tdi has only done 14k.

There's absolutly nothing wrong with the car but its just the feeling of driving a high miler car!
My first car - a Pug306 DIESEL was sold when it was on 70k miles and the last car - Mk4 Golf 1.4 was sold when it was on 60k.

albevan - Have you had any sort of hickups with your mota?

I really wouldn't give it a second thought. VAG Diesel engines are just about run in properly at that sort of mileage and will do double if not triple that mileage without causing you problems.

If you're really worried get the oil changed every in between each service. So if you get it serviced every 10k, change the oil every 5k as well. That will certainly keep it going longer and stronger :D

No mate no probs at all. Engine is quiet, no rattles squeaks or leaks from any where in the car. no mods on it but it still pulls like a train. i think concerns about mileage are overrated in these modern motors. keep em serviced and they'll run and run and run.

I have got 113500 on the clock, FSEATSH and it is still bullet proof! Needing a near side track rod end tho (

Think Neil Birkett's car (Editor of VW Driver Mag) a MKIV 1.8T Golf has done 160-170+ miles re mapped no probs.

He still rags it around track too.

Ian...my MKIV is on 100k on APR stage 2 map plus extras since nearly new and on track every year...no problems no oil consumption either....strong motor

It's a more aggressive map which takes into accouint further modifications over the standard OE spec car. It is designed for people who have larger Down Pipe Milltek exhaust larger TIP FMIC etc.

The APR stage 2 map gave my Golf an additional 20hp and 30lbs of torque...super smooth too. Speak to Awesome regarding the upgrade...not expensive too.

I'm well into 72k on my 2003plate Cupra.... going as strong as ever - Revo'd since 40k.

One of the "old school" members (sorry, can't remember your name) had over 140k on an LCR about 6months ago, if i recall correctly......

Look after it and it'll go on and on.. I know this time next year, assuming I still have my car, I'll be well into the 110k mark.

This makes for good reading as i've been looking around at getting a cupra but was looking too save a few quid and most of the cheap ones are on 80k upwards. Good to hear all should be ok if i look after her as i will.

I recently invested in a 2 and a half year old LCR with 79,000 miles on the clock and (touch wood) it hasn't skipped a beat so far. I was wary of buying a car with such a high mileage but providing they have been properly looked after (full service history etc.) they should go on and on. The only thing is it will be due an 80k service very soon plus I think it will need new brake disks as there is a bit of a lip. I'd better get saving!
