Hi i took delivery of my 03 Ibiza TDI sport yesterday and the clutch biting point is quite high i was wondering if this is something to worry about as the car is in warrenty and could probs get it sorted.

i thought if the biting point is high it means the clutch might be on its way out?

any help would be great

it doesnt seem to be slipping just a high bite point, car seems to pull fine throughout the rev range, can i not just get it adjusted?

how much would a replacement be?

That was the first thing i notised when i got my car. There is nothing wrong with my clutch so i just assume its how the clutch is set up on the car.

If you really wanted, there will be some way of setting it.

To be honest I've owned three Ibiza's now,
1 PD100 Derv
1 1.2S Petrol
and now the 1.8T Cupra all clutches have been very sensitive in mine their biting point is always spot on right near the bottom.

Maybe its not clutch wear but in three ibizas I've never had one with a high biting point.

My 1.2 has a really high biting point. My clutch pedal is vibrating alot aswell which im pretty sure means it will give up on me soon as its been slipping for about 4 months now.
