The beam pattern with the nightbreakers is already broken, so I reckon the antiglare will help ..

I don't know but for an extra tenner I thought it was worth it even if it lowered the possibilitys of being stopped by the plod.

Every car you see with Xenon has the solid round light so the light is very precise rather than being spread all over the lense. The new Civic has a HID light that covers the entire lense but as this is OEM I don't suppose it's a problem

I zip tied the N/S ballast up near the battery & he O/S one is wedged inbetween the washer bottle pipe & inner wing.

I think the above kit isn't the Ultimate kit so it won't have the "soft" start digital ballasts & uses 55W so the ECU doesn't throw up a bulb failure.

That's right, I also agree with where you have put your ballasts. I shall be doing the same

i just fired them on with the doublesided pads which were supplied.... tempted to maybe stick a short self tapper in each ballast just to make sure they dont come off.

Maybe a good idea...........not sure if i would trust just the tape , not too sure if the
ballasts would get hot:shrug: - i think the resistor/soft start units do:blink:

i'm thinking of getting a set of MTEC HIDS from Hids-Direct. Apparently they are specifically designed for a MK5 golf so should fit perfect on our leon MK2. they come in 4500K, 6000K and 8000K.
gonna go for 6000K if i do.

Anyone have any experience of Hids-direct?

Are HIDs4u not cheaper specially when used with a discount code?

S2TTB - Are those the anti-glare HIDs? Look really good. You need some LED sidelights now to match the colour ;) Hint *cough* sig ;)
