HID Kit

im looking to get a HID kit for my 56 plate Leon FR TDI

what type bulb would i need?

H7 for dipped beam.
Due to the HID kits being 35W, make sure you get a kit that over comes the "bulb out" warning.

im glad you replied, i just want a cheapish HID kit off ebay, u have any idea which 1 will over come the bulb out warning?

Do a search on this forum. There's a few threads on HID's & which ones work.

ermm i already have a H7 6000k HID kit which ibought off ebay from Diane Shop.

will the kit work in the Leon MK2 without any problems?

Is the standard bulb size in the Leon H7?

Please help.

you'll need a canbus compatiable HID kit. some1 on her bought some cheap kit on ebay that worked, but he had a lot of glare off them.
When it comes to HID kits, cheap isn't always best.

well they were great on my fiesta thats all. got the odd flash off other drivers but thats normal.

when u say sum1 had alot of glare, what do you mean ?

it's a when too much like it reflected/emitted the wrong direction. i.e. into the eyes of drivers in oncoming traffic.
you get the odd flash. After having mine for 6 months, not had one flash at me. tbh some 4x4 oem xenons are horrendous for dazzle.

im not too fussed as when i got stopped by police they said they were ok. lol

but i just wanted to make sure they were not gonna say bulb out on the cars computer.

as u can tell ive not received my car yet, hoping for money to go in bank so i can get it after work tonight but still now luck.
